God's Pleasure in His Son

In Isaiah 53:10, the word of God says like this
    "Yes it pleased the LORD to bruise Him;
      He has put Him to grief.
      When You make His soul an offering for sin,
      He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
      And the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in His Hand"

Also Matt 3:17 says
    "And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."
Also Matt 17:5 say
    "...., behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them; and suddenly a voice came out of the cloud, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him."

In all the above three verses, we see the Father's pronouncement of His pleasure in His Son. This demonstrates the unspeakable Glory.

God was well pleased by His beloved Son. But if we think ourselves (man), we (man) displeased God in all ways.

There are many examples we can see in the Word of God.
I am quoting two out of them for our study here

• Adam displeased God by disobeying God's command
• God was displeased by the wickedness and evil thoughts of the people during the time of Noah.

There are three things Adam & Eve (as we can say every human of the earth) got as a consequence of Sinning apart from death (the greatest sorrow)

1. First, He (man) got enmity to God
2. Secondly, He (man) was cursed
3. Thirdly, He (man) was thrown away from garden of Eden (from fellowship of God)

We can dwell upon these three things

First, Enmity to God.

      As per Romans 5:10, we were enemies to God
      We lost the eternal life (but gained death) by the sin of of one Man, Adam.
      The reason why Adam was thrown out of the garden after sinning is - "that the man (Adam) has become like one of Us (God), to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever"
      Does this mean, God never wanted man to gain eternal life? No.  Not like that. But man has to pay the great penalty for the remission of sin to gain eternal life. But can man pay the penalty? No. Because as per the word of God, this penalty is nothing but the shedding of precious blood, without blemish and without spot. So man cannot shed his own blood for the remission of his own sins because his blood was not pure.
Hence God sent His beloved Son (Jesus Christ) for the remission of the sin of all and to give His life a ransom for many (Mark 10:47).
       Hence, ~ 700 years before the birth of Christ (incarnation), God had given the answer to the question of sin in the form of Isaiah Chapter 53.
       Now the enmity of the law was abolished by His flesh and and He was made peace between God and us (Eph 2:14-15)

Second, We were Cursed

       As per Galatians 3:10-11, we were cursed under the law.
       Adam (All of us) was cursed by the law of God in the garden of Eden.
                By Adam, we also were all cursed
                But by Christ, we were all made righteous (Gal 3:13)
       The curse of the law was so great. That great curse was revealed to us ~ 700 years before the birth of Christ (incarnation) in the book Isaiah 53.
       But this great curse was not attained to us but was attained to Christ.

Thirdly, we were far off (away)

        As per Ephesians 2:13-14, we were far off from God.
        Adam was thrown away from garden of Eden. He became far off from God.
                 By Adam, we also were far off to God
        But God did not leave us far off from Him, but He Himself came near to us by sending His beloved Son.
        He is the God, who lives in His Glory. Peter saw His Glory on the mount during transfiguration. Peter, John and James, fell on their faces when they saw His Glory.
        The Glorious God, who is being honored by the Cherubim's  and Seraphim's  as "Holy, holy holy is the LORD of hosts; The whole earth is full of His Glory", the same God came down by humbling Himself and lowering Himself below the Angles and came in the likeness of a sinful man. He gave Himself a ransom for many and made sin for usand cursed for us and despised and rejected for us.
        Paul says, "He knoweth not sin" - means no sin in His thoughts
        Peter says, "He did no sin" - means no sin in His works
        John says, "In Him no sin" - means no sin in His Spirit.
       
        We all sinned with our thoughts, works and minds, but He without sin was made sin for us and gave us the Eternal Life. This is the love of God as "God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

So let us worship this TRUE and LIVING GOD in truth and spirit.
